Banweed MCPA

Features
Broad spectrum of soft broadleaf weed control.
Control of common broad-leaved weeds in newly planted lawns.
Does not kill grass lawn- when used according to directions
Suitable for use on Buffalo lawns.
Warnings
Handle with care.
Poisonous when absorbed through the skin or swallowed or inhaled.
Store in a cool place.
Store away from food, feeds, seed, and other agricultural remedies and out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
Avoid spray drift onto susceptible plants e.g. All broadleaf crops as well as all trees, shrubs and flowering plants.
Precautions
Do not inhale spray mist and fumes.
Wash contaminated clothing daily.
Wash with soap and water immediately after accidental skin contact.
Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing and applying or before washing hands and face and change of clothing.
Avoid spray drift onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams and any area not under treatment.
To avoid injury to desirable plants, spray equipment used for application should not be re-used to apply other materials to such plants.
Dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers and dams.
Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10%  of that of the container.  Add the rinse water to the contents of the spray tank.
Destroy empty container.  Never use for any other purpose.
Prevent contamination of food, feeds, drinking water and eating utensils.

Apply after emergence of broadleaf weeds growing in an established lawn or turf.
Apply as a fine, even spray.
Calibrate spray equipment carefully prior to application.
Note:  Efekto BANWEED MCPA may cause a discoloration of the grass.  This will be of a temporary nature only.
The application of a nitrogenous fertiliser 2 - 3 weeks prior to treating with the herbicide is recommended.
Mixing and application
Dilute 50ml Efekto BANWEED MCPA in 5l  water and apply as an even spray onto 100m².
Repeat application after 14 days if necessary.
Use only on weeds growing actively in a soil with sufficient moisture.
Use only in fairways in the case of golf courses.
Important
Application by means of a watering can or equipment attached to garden hoses is not recommended.
Knapsack sprayers and pressurised sprayers are however suitable equipment to use.

90ml BASAGRAN in 5l water per 100m².
Method of application
Apply as a fine droplet size spray ensuring a thorough and uniform coverage of the weeds.  Ensure that the prescribed quantity of spray mixture is applied to the area as indicated above.  Once the spray mixture is well mixed no further agitation is necessary.
Type of lawn
Any type of grass lawn may be treated.
General recommendations
Do not use BASAGRAM from April till September.   In order to be controlled satisfactorily, the weeds must grow vigorously when sprayed.  An application of nitrogenous fertilizer 2 – 4 weeks before spraying is recommended.  The lawn should also be irrigated well 1 – 3 days before spraying.
The leaves of the yellow nutsedge should be visible above the grass and for this purpose the lawn should not be mowed for at least 3 days prior to spraying.
Do not mow for at least 7 days after treatment.  Rain within 1 day of application may cause poor results.
Note :  grasses and purple nutsedge (cyperus rotundus) are not controlled.  BASAGRAM is slow acting.  Corms which were dormant at the time of spraying may germinate and necessitate respraying. Some weed spp.  Normally controlled
